THROWBACKTHURSDAY Halloween circa 1995

With Halloween three weeks away its time to start thinking what in the world your going to be for the many Halloween celebrations that are approaching. As a kid it was easy, you had one costume to get you through the night and possibly a Halloween party where you'd probably wear the same thing. In college, Halloween lasts at the least 3 nights, with a different costume being needed each night.  To come up with 3+ costumes takes some planning and inspiration...

Back in the good old days Halloween costumes were the least of my worries, with my mom being a costume designer I knew I would always have a unique and one of a kind costume made exactly how I wanted.
Have you ever seen another blue and orange fringe cat costume?  This is probably my favorite costume of my childhood to look back on. It is so random and bizarre yet extremely fun for a little kid to be covered head to toe in fringe which moves and shakes with every movement you make. When my mom owned a baby clothing store in the city her style was very creative and fun, putting blue dog faces on the front of a red and blue polka dot dress with a jingling bell and floppy ears coming off. I'm going to say the blue cat was more her idea than mine but it definitely looks like I loved it.

Not feeling like a blue cat this Halloween? Check out American Apparel for some easy and creative ideas!
